THE COMPANY

SAFARI RENT-A-CAR, INC. was conceived and organized by a former officer and employees of Hertz Rent-A-Car and other enterprising young men from the transportation industry whose primary objective is to give its clients the same kind of service only a car rental company with an international caliber can offer minus the high cost of renting a car.

Thus, SAFARI RENT-A-CAR, INC. was incorporated on March 22, 1993 and started its operation with meager 10 units of car for hire with its office located at 1839 Eureka St., La Paz Village, Makati City, only a few minutes away from the heart of Makati Central Business District. Its Board of Directors was headed by Mr. Virgilio L. Hizon who also acts as its President and General Manager. Mr. Hizon used to work as the Assistant General Manager of Hertz Rent-A-Car. Our staff consist initially of 2 Sales Executives, 2 Clerical staff and 4 drivers. The Company started its operation as a sub-contractor for other bigger car rental companies, aside from renting out to some individual clients.

In August 1995, SAFARI got a break in its sales effort by bagging the contract of Northern Telecommunication which started leasing units up to a maximum of 27 units. It was followed in November 1995 by the opening of leasing contract of 7 units with Fujitsu Ten Phils., Inc. with offices at Laguna Technopark.

Now, after sixteen (16) years in business, the company has already a fleet of more than 300 cars consisting mostly of Toyota VIOS, AVANZA, ALTIS, INNOVA, COMMUTER VAN, GRANDIA and CAMRY. Our clientele consist mostly of big companies (80%) and individual renters (20%).

THE SERVICE DELIVERY AND PULL-OUT SYSTEM

As part of our Customer Satisfaction Program, we introduced to the market in 1995 our “We Deliver the Car Right to your Doorstep” scheme wherein we go directly to the place of the customer to do the documentation and delivery of the car instead of the customer coming to us. We likewise pull-out the car from the place of the renter after rental for a minimal fee.
